Head to Head

  • Their only last meeting was the first leg of this match where both teams scored two goals (final score 2-2).

Team Analysis and Prediction

Liverpool, this season has never been beaten in front of an audience as the host. With Shrewsbury coming to Liverpool headquarters, trying to be number one to defeat the Reds even though it seems very difficult.

Liverpool fielded the youth team in their first match against Shrewsbury in the first leg and ended with a 2-2 draw. Although Liverpool took the lead in the first half and doubled their lead in the second half, the hosts were able to come back and level the score within ten minutes.

But even so, Jurgen Klopp’s troops this time felt sure to get a victory for the audience who played as the host.

On the other hand, Shrewsbury, who are a team from the third division, will travel to the fearsome Anfield, after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Rochdale. Noted, Shrewsbury has not won in their last four matches in all competitions. Right now, they also suffered two gloomy losing streak.

The Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has explained that he will not feature senior players in the match later. Instead, he will play his U23 player to fight.

Liverpool’s recent record is also very impressive. They have scored ten goals in the last five matches and never conceded while playing at Anfield. Most likely in the match later, Liverpool can give the audience three points to take home, given the atmosphere at Anfield is like hell for the opposing team.
