Lucien Favre’s men were defeated 3-2 by Bremen at Weserstadion and Reus was forced to play at the close of the night. As a result undesirable things fall to the Dortmund captain.

Dortmund tweeted on Wednesday to confirm Reus’s condition, that he would not be fit to return to training until next month and could not take him to the Champions League match when he meets Paris Saint-Germain on 18 February.

“Captain Marco Reus suffered a muscle injury in the DFB-Pokal,” the tweet wrote.

According to his status, he will be able to start training again in about four weeks. That time frame will put the attacking midfielder out of the next four matches, but most likely he can return on his way to Paris on March 11, who will face PSG in the Champions League 2nd leg.
