Juventus wasted their chance to take a six-point lead at the top of Serie A. Goals from Piotr Zielinski and Lorenzo Insigne inflicted a shocking defeat on the defending champions and regained enthusiasm for the team that is currently in decline.

The first round of the game went tough, many opportunities but no sweet fruit. Juve managed to dominate possession and believed they could get the score, but Napoli did not stay silent and kept trying to resist their attacks until the 0-0 score of the first round whistle sounded.

In the second half, the game was almost similar to the initial 45 minutes, only Napoli were better able to control their ball and create some ripe opportunities.

After Juve’s men had chances that Alex Meret was able to save well, the opposite happened, the home team led an unexpected match. Free-standing Zielinski watched Juve goalkeeper Szczesny salvage a powerful shot from Insigne, but the Polish midfielder arrived at the right time to fire the rebound ball over the goal line and change the score to 1-0 in the 63rd minute.

The excitement of the audience at the stadium was not there. In the 86th minute, Insigne, who can be called “man of the match”, managed to increase his advantage through his volley from José Callejon’s cross.

At the end of the match precisely in the 90th minute, Ronaldo managed to minimize Juve lagging through Sodoran ball which could not be anticipated by Meret. But the Napoli keeper made it up to him when he gripped the ball from Higuain’s attempt to score the second goal for his team and Napoli also confirmed the three points that now put them in 10th place in the standings.

In other results too, Inter who played the match was held to a draw by the visitors Cagliari and Lazio right below him also drew when the derby against Rome ended with the score 1-1.
