January, Four Dortmund Players Will Be Left Behind

According to WAZ, Julian Weigl, Mario Götze, Mahmoud Dahoud and Jacob Bruun Larsen are some of the players who can leave Borussia Dortmund in the winter transfer market. The striker Paco Alcacer dislikes is reportedly unhappy with his playing time, but the report says he will not be allowed to leave next month.

Weigl has been linked with moves to Hertha Berlin and Benfica in recent weeks, while in the long run PSG and Barcelona are also considered interested in his signature. WAZ said that Portuguese giants Benfica were confident about their chance to sign him and Dortmund did not close the door at the time of his departure.

Götze has also been linked with a move to Hertha Berlin with a contract that will expire at the end of the season. He can be allowed to leave in January.

Meanwhile Salzburg striker Erling Haaland was Borussia Dortmund’s number one target for January, thanks to his € 20 million release clause. According to BILD, Dortmund and Manchester United have moved ahead in the race for the Norwegian player’s signature.
