According to Sky reporter Marc Behrenbeck, Alexander Nübel is reported to be one step away from moving to Bayern Munich next summer.

Schalke 04 goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has played 35 times in the Bundesliga and is considered one of the most promising goalkeeper prospects in the world. However, if Nübel really moved to Bayern, tension could arise between him and the current Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer. The reason is none other than when playing Neuer which will be divided.

According to Sky, the negotiating team Hasan Salihamidzic and colleagues said, “Nübel is their long-term plan to become the number one goalkeeper and Neuer will share the task of guarding with him”.

It seems that the plan to share the task of keeping the goal is not going well. Behrenbeck added, “Interestingly, Neuer does not seem to know about this agreement until talks with Nübel have finished. They did not talk to Neuer or mention everything until December”.

And when Brazzo finally spoke with Neuer about the plan to bring in Nübel, the German number one goalkeeper was deemed unsatisfied. Considering Neuer is seniority and captain at Bayern. From this negotiation, will create problems for Bayern.

Currently Neuer is still playing at world class level. After experiencing some difficult seasons ago, the German and Bayern number one players returned to their original form. At his current age, which is 33 years old, Neuer still keeps his top level for years. There are not many reasons to replace him because he is still the best.

Bayern Munich seem to be trying to correct their mistakes in the past, when bringing in new players to replace senior players. It is indeed a smart choice from Munich officials to prepare for the future of the club and make a change, but in this case, if Neuer still maintains his current level for years to come, signing Nübel might be in vain.

Most likely Nübel has only been loaned to other clubs for two or three years and can only become the number one goalkeeper in Munich to replace Neuer.
