Barcelona’s board has compiled a list of players consisting of three people who they believe have the qualities and can replace Luis Suarez. The Barcelona star is expected to lose most of his game this season because of injury.
The three men entered the Noucamp list, namely AC Milan striker, Dinamo Zagreb striker and Chelsea winger who is likely to return to his former club.
After dismissing manager Ernesto Valverde and replacing him with Quique Setién, Barca are determined to support their new manager in the transfer market.
Currently Barca and Madrid have the same points, which is 43 points, which differ only by two goal difference at the top of La Liga. Catalan officials realize that this January transfer window is very important in order to win their fifth title in the last six years.
Barca striker Suarez is in a bad shape and can’t play much for the club. Until now the Uruguayan has now bagged 14 goals in 23 matches with Lionel Messi.
For the list of the first players who will replace Suarez’s Spanish international, Dani Olmo has previously been linked with Wolves and Milan. But reportedly Olmo wants to be able to play in the Champions League and obviously this is more inclined towards Barca. Because it is known Barca have never missed the Champions League.
At first Milan was believed to have agreed to an agreement with Dinamo for Olmo at a price of € 20 million, but according to the daily Mundo Deportivo newspaper that the Croatian club had raised the price of Olmo to € 30 million and that amount was still a consideration of Barcelona.
Second there is the name of the AC Milan striker, Krzysztof Piątek. Piątek’s latest news has been linked to his move to Tottenham, but chairman Daniel Levy is still trying to bargain for the player’s price and has so far been unsuccessful.
The Polish international could be Barca’s best option as a front-line player in the January transfer window. Piątek is also difficult to join earlier this month due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival at the San Siro.
Barca’s last option is Pedro. You could say Pedro has not fully potential to replace Suarez, because his goal contribution is very small to date. The possibility to match the former Liverpool player is minimal.
But his contract at Chelsea will expire at the end of the season and it is known that Pedro is a Barcelona fan, for the rest of his life he will run there and reach his goals as before.
Pedro is a player from Barcelona B who was drawn to the first team in 2008 and appeared with Messi and Xavi for seven years. Noted has recorded 58 goals in 204 matches with Barcelona. He left Barca for Chelsea in 2015.
Pedro told L’Esportiu before Christmas, “If Barcelona calls me, I’ll leave it all. I’m talking to the coach, but the door closes quickly. Now I don’t know what will happen.”
